Becky essay

Character credibility is when a character in the story is acting like a real person would act. In the story “Becky and the Wheels and the Brake Boys” written by James Berry, a girl named Becky want a bike, but her mother disagrees with the idea. Becky is a credible character because of how she acts, how she feels, and what she says.
First of all, Becky is credible because she begs her I wanted a bike.” She really wants a bike more than anything, so she pleads to her mom. This proves that Becky is a realistic character because a lot of kids bug their parents for what the want.
Secondly, Becky is a believable character because she fought with her friend and got angry with her. Becky thinks to herself, For the first time her best friend because Shirnette let a cockroach fly down Becky’s blouse. She is credible because friends frequently fight with each other.
The third reason why Becky is credible is because she asks for some help to learn how to ride a bike. Becky asks the Wheel and Brake Boys, “Can somebody teach me to ride?” Becky doesn’t have a bike because in her neighborhood girls aren’t encouraged to ride them. She wants to be part of the group, so she asks the boys to teach her a new skill. Becky stands up for what she wants just like any kid.
In conclusion, Becky is realistic character because of her actions, her emotions, and her words prove that she is credible character. You might even know someone like Becky that’s in your neighborhood. Or , it could even be you.

Eleven

Eleven by Sandra Cisneros. Eleven is about a girl named Rachel who is turning 11. She says that when she turns 11 she also feels ten nine eight seven six five four three two and one. Rachel goes to school and her teacher Mrs. Price says that a red nasty sweater has been in the closet for a month and no one has taken it. Then Felice Garcia says, “I think it belongs to Rachel”. Mrs. Price makes Rachel get and then put it on. Rachel cry’s and cry’s. Then Phyllis Lopez claims it Rachel calls stupid. Then she cheers herself up by saying mom makes a cake then dad gets home we eat it and I open presents. I think Rachel is credible she cry’s because no one believes her, she called a kid stupid, and birthday gets messed up.
I think Rachel is credible because she cry’s because Mrs. Price does not believes her. She credible because lots of kids will cry if someone does not believe them, but then making Rachel wear the nasty old smelly sweater. I would not cry I would just get mad. She is also mad at Felice Garcia for saying “ I think its Rachel’s”. I think its true that kid

Dear Mom,

I will like to have a dog. A dog will be awesome. Now mommy I know that I’ve showed lots of responsibility and I think I’m old enough to have dog. Now I am going to tell you the positive things about having a dog. I will also answer any concerns you may have.

Well there are many reasons I think I should have a dog. Okay one reason is the dog will teach me responsibility how to care for a living animal. Then when I’m older I will now how to take care of a dog and have my own dog. Of course when you leave me alone (always) I could play with him/her. I could also get off my lazy but and walk the dog. I will also enjoy a dog around.

Now I know that you have many concerns. Number 1 poop I will kind of gladly clean after them. Every parents says this not enough space okay but we could get a little one the house would be huge to them. Another concern may be the dog will be noisy during the night for them to be quiet I would check on them every once in a while. Okay I know a dog is too much to asked for but I’m okay with it.

Finally that I’ve have told you what I will do can I have a dog. I’ve told you why and what I will do if the dog gets a little noisy. Please let me have the dog. Yes finally. Woo. Okay can we buy food the dog is in my room he is starving I found him in the streets hungry (to Petco).
